Johanna Spiller
My name is Johanna Spiller, and I was born and raised in a small village in the south of Germany, but chose in 2014 to make the Netherlands my forever home. I am so proud to be part of the professional journey of our female tech talents. Having worked at IBM for several years, I know what it's like to be a young woman in the tech world, and it made me an advocate for gender equity. When I am not at work, I spend time with my husband, two greyhounds Honey and Oliver, or hang out with friends at a bar like I am still 19, which I always regret the next day.

I've been so lucky to have grown up in the Netherlands. That I've been given the opportunity to develop and study despite my background. I'm grateful for that every day. At crucial moments, I've had a helping hand. From people at the church, from teachers, from investors. From people who believed in me, in short. Now I want to give something back.

I grew up in a sailors village in the Netherlands with a loving family.
When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of becoming a pilot as it would allow me to discover new cultures. Every culture, every person has their own story which you can learn from and be inspired by.
This, I experience at Alyx and is one of the reasons why I love working here. It is a very diverse workplace, which brings along many unique stories.
