Do I have to pay for the Bootcamp?No, you are PAID a competitive salary from the start and have regular promotional cycles based on performance.

Is working remote an option?No, the Alyx Program is hybrid. We have some days where all Alyx Trainees work from the office and other days are for self-studying.

What is the location of the Bootcamp?We have offices in Groningen and Utrecht.

Is the Alyx Program full-time?The Alyx Program is full-time, so 40 hours a week. Part-time work is not possible at the moment.

Do I get to choose what I want to learn?The curriculum is tailored to the client's requirements. Most of our vacancies are for software engineers and the details are agreed upon during the assessment process.

Can I choose my partner company?Yes and no. We will introduce you to clients that we think will fit your profile. You will meet the client for an interview and then you both need to agree to work together. However, we don't offer endless opportunities and encourage you to accept every offer you receive.

What can I expect from the assessment?First, you will have an intake interview with our recruiter. You will then complete the Brainfirst Cognitive Assessment test. Finally, you will be invited to attend a face-to-face assessment day with the other candidates or a one-on-one interview at one of our offices.

Do I need prior tech knowledge?No prior tech knowledge is needed, however affinity with tech is a must.

What do I learn in the Bootcamp?This varies per IT track. However, on our main page you can find general information. If you are curious about a more detailed explanation, please contact us via our contact form.

Why do I need at least a bachelor's degree?Our experience has shown that a minimum of a bachelor's degree is required to complete our Alyx Program. Many elements of our programme require skills learned at university. We therefore want you to have a degree to ensure successful completion of your training and placement with your partner company.

Why do I need B1 level of Dutch?Although IT is a very international field and Alyx itself has an international staff, the reality is that your chances of finding a partner company are higher with a basic knowledge of Dutch. To avoid disappointment, we have decided to require at least B1 level Dutch as a prerequisite for a smoother integration and better chances.
